A wonderful armchair, model 802, designed by Carlo Di Carli & Gio Ponti and manufactured by Cassina in Italy around 1950.

Upholstered in high quality black skai (faux leather) on deep brown wooden legs. This piece combines seating comfort with a beautiful mid-century modern appeal! This combination of colors and materials create a nice harmonious style, while the smooth finish and tapered legs add to a sense of luxury. This piece fits seamlessly in many different kinds of decors while at the same time being a true statement piece. An highly recognizable find of Italian design by an iconic designer duo!

The chair remains in very good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.

Model 802 Armchair – Design by Carlo de Carli, manufactured by Cassina, Italy, 1954. The wooden frame with foam upholstery rests on elastic ribbons. The armchair was reupholstered and covered with a white muslin by our expert and now needs only a new fabric cover.
